Car Wheel Balancing

Tire imbalance is most often caused by everyday wear and tear. Weather and road conditions, as well as tire quality, can also impact your tire balance. It is normal for most vehicles to have their tires balanced every two years. For regular upkeep, we recommend balancing your tires with your tire rotations or scheduled oil changes.

Car Wheel Balancing: Inspection and Repair

The process of tire rotation and balancing is quite quick and simple. It does, however, require specialized equipment and experienced mechanics. When you bring your car into our shop, we’ll begin by taking each tire off your vehicle. The tires will then be attached to the balancing machine, one by one. The machine will rotate the tire, vibrating it and telling us where the weight is unevenly distributed.

Once we have an idea of the issue at hand, we will be able to carefully add weight to the tire. The weight is then evenly distributed throughout the unit so that the tire should roll along smoothly. When we have ensured that the procedure is successful, we will reattach each tire and let you inspect the results with a test drive. You can expect this process to take anywhere from 40 minutes to 2 hours, depending on the condition of your tires.
